Professor Nigel Arnell is the Director of the Walker Institute and a Professor in Climate Science at the University of Reading, UK.
He is a world-leading expert in the impacts of climate change on hydrology and water resources.
Nigel Arnell has developed research into techniques for aiding adaptation to climate change, specifically in ways of charactering and incorporating uncertainty and on using climate scenario information to inform decisions.
He has contributed to the IPCC Reports and to the Stern Review of the Economics of Climate Change.
Professor Stefan Uhlenbrook is the Director of the UNESCO World Water Assessment Programme in Perugia, Italy.
He was previously Vice-Rector and Officer-in-Charge at UNESCO-IHE, Delft, The Netherlands and Professor of Hydrology at Delft University of Technology and UNESCO-IHE.
He is member of several editorial and international programme steering committees with an expertise on water assessment at local, regional and global scale, on science-policy interface (making scientific findings effective for society), on the impact of climate change and other global changes (i.e. Africa, Asia and Europe) as well as the on dynamics of hydrological processes and river basin management.
